92.1 WLHR is a regional FM radio station dedicated to serving the communities of Franklin and Hart Counties in Northeast Georgia, strategically located along the shores of Lake Hartwell, the second largest lake east of the Mississippi River. Operating under the nickname “Lake Hartwell Radio,” this station extends its reach to a total of nine counties in Georgia and two in South Carolina.

As the sole community FM radio station in Franklin, Hart, Stephens, Madison, and Jackson Counties, WLHR emphasizes a locally-focused programming approach. The station primarily features mainstream and Classic Country music, supplemented by a robust local news department staffed by two reporters. With hourly community information segments and opportunities for listener engagement, WLHR fosters a sense of connection with the communities it serves.

The programming format at 92.1 WLHR concentrates exclusively on local interests. It plays contemporary Country hits from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., while from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., it stands out as the only radio station within a 100-mile radius dedicated to Classic Country music. This unique blend includes major hits from the 1970s and 1980s, incorporating select tracks from the 1960s and some from the 1950s. With an estimated population of 135,087 residing within its primary Grade A signal area and many transient listeners along Interstate Highway 85—connecting Atlanta and Charlotte—92.1 WLHR stands as a vital radio presence for both local residents and visitors alike.
